The 2024 Summer Research Expo was a chance for anyone interested in undergraduate research to learn about the unique opportunities and research activity at Lehigh. This year’s uniquely interdisciplinary poster project competition showcased the efforts of four 10-week summer research programs, including 98 projects from the Hatchery, Marcon Institute, Mountaintop Summer Experience, and STEM-SI. Along with President Joseph J. Helble ’82 and Provost Nathan Urban, the event drew an audience of peers, faculty, parents, and prospective Lehigh applicants eager to check out the abundance of student research.
The impressive work of the students also brings back alumni eager to see future makers honing skills that connect innovative research concepts to real-world applications. Some alumni and faculty also opted to participate in the event as judges, lending their valuable time to explore each presentation, listen, and engage with the researchers.
