Lehigh Sports Alumni Network
The Lehigh Sports Alumni Network (LSAN) connects current and former Lehigh student-athletes and enables them to develop networking opportunities, share their business knowledge, and give back to the university through mentoring and fundraising for the Lehigh Athletics Partnership.
Lehigh University has a long tradition of athletic excellence and currently supports 25 NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports for men and women. Since its founding by Asa Packer in 1865, Lehigh has graduated over 11,000 student-athletes. Lehigh athletes share many core values, such as honesty, integrity, leadership, pride, perseverance, and a commitment to teamwork and community. The combination of a powerful education, both in the classroom and on the field, has allowed many Lehigh student-athletes to secure early job placement and build successful careers.
Lehigh’s Athletics Partnership was created in 1989 with a mission to enable former student-athletes to remain connected to the sport that they played at Lehigh. To date, Lehigh has launched 19 sport-specific partnerships (i.e., alumni clubs organized by sport), each led and managed by former student-athletes.

About the Lehigh Sports Alumni Netowork
In 2013, Rich Margolies ’96 (lacrosse) and Jonathan Stiegler ’98 (football) met each other in New York City while watching their kids play soccer. It did not take long for them to make their alumni connection and learn that they were both former Lehigh athletes. After exchanging business cards, Rich and Jonathan met for lunch and through the years have become good friends. Through their Lehigh bond, they have supported each other with career advice, exchanged business referrals, and helped each other with job opportunities.
During the summer of 2019, Rich and Jonathan, who have both been active supporters of the Lehigh Athletics Partnership, discussed the idea of connecting all former Lehigh athletes through a new group called the Lehigh Sports Alumni Network. After working with the university and recruiting a board leadership team, LSAN was launched in October 2021.
The LSAN leadership team welcomes all current and former Lehigh student-athletes to join our alliance and participate in networking events scheduled throughout the year.
