The Bethlehem Farmer's Market kicks off the summer season at the end of the spring semester and runs until early November.
When classes end in the spring, you might assume the campus is deserted. But Lehigh never sleeps. Check out some of what summer 2024 had to bring on campus and beyond!

In This Image: Feeding the future makers! The food trucks continue to pop up around campus to feed those still studying and researching through the summer, as well as those working in and around the buildings — like the Clayton University Center construction crew!

In This Image: Rossin hosted another successful year of CHOICES, giving middle school girls hands-on opportunities to explore careers in STEM. Here the girls are working with the Robotics Air Drone team. Campers worked in teams to pick up objects with their drones and fly them to the finish line in a relay race style.

In This Image: With the Alley House project underway, students worked with Wes Hiatt in Building C to prefabricate panels for a prototype house being built on Bethlehem's West Side.

In This Image: The students will return in the fall to find major progress at the Clayton University Center. The south entrance will be sure to catch their attention and will eventually allow students to access the second floor of the building. It will conveniently connect the upper and lower points of campus.

In This Image: Musical guests Billy and Chris perform at the Grill & Chill BBQ Summer Series at Rauch Business Center patio. This summer offering brings the campus grilled-to-order lunch and live music from local musicians.

In This Image: The Startup Academy 2024 cohort, with 22 Lehigh students, completed a 10-week entrepreneurial internship with 13 Silicon Valley startups. The program, a partnership between Lehigh@NasdaqCenter and Lehigh Business, culminated in a graduation event at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center with Bay Area alumni, founders, mentors, and prospective students.

In This Image: The Bethlehem Farmers’ Market kicks off each year at the end of April and runs every Thursday through the summer from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It features produce, local vendors, food, and live music. Students returning to campus will have the chance to enjoy the market until early November.

In This Image: Kaitlyn Powel '25 (IDEAS major) worked in Spain for eight weeks this summer. While there, she attended the Madrid Summit international human rights conference along with LGBTQIA+ rights activists from around the world.

Soaring Together scholar Forum Patel ’27 documented a day in the life of a business analyst intern at St. Luke's University Health Network on Facebook and Instagram Stories for development and alumni relations.

In This Image: On June 18, Library and Technology Services hosted a Read & Grow event, pairing children’s storytime with plant therapy activities. Veronica Moore, author of "Rosie’s Special Gift", read her new book and led an interactive discussion at the free event.

In This Image: Every year, the Community Service Office collects donations from students, faculty, and staff to host the Great South Side Sale. All proceeds benefit children’s programming in local South Side Bethlehem schools. This year’s Southside Sale is in honor of Em Finney, one of the founders of this program over 25 years ago.

More than a building, the Clayton University Center at Packer Hall is the heart of the Lehigh campus. Current renovations will reinvent the Clayton UC into a vibrant space that fosters collaboration and equips students with the skills to lead.
