Lane Raczy ’25, a mechanical engineering major, shares the rewarding experience of working intensely on a project at Mountaintop. As the mech team lead for the Lehigh Underwater Robotics Team, Lane emphasizes the unique aspect of their autonomous drone, which operates without communication once underwater. This sets it apart from other drones that require manual control via a surface cable. Lane appreciates the opportunity to contribute to the scientific field and feels a sense of purpose in his work at Lehigh.
