Dan Warner was named Lehigh’s vice provost for admissions and financial aid in April 2018.

Previously, he was director of admissions for Rice University for eight years. There, Warner managed the day-to-day operations of the admissions office and led the recruitment, evaluation, and selection process for the highly ranked private institution. He oversaw the achievement of multiple university goals, including a 47 percent increase in applications, 57 percent increase in applications from under-represented cohorts, and a 22 percent increase in the enrollment of under-represented students.

Prior to serving at Rice, Warner was the assistant dean of admissions for Stanford University, the associate director of admissions for the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt, and the associate director of admissions for his alma mater, Boston University, where he initially joined the staff in 1989.

Warner resides in Easton with his wife and their dog, but remains loyal to Boston sports teams.
