Senior Alumni Council

Lehigh alumni who graduated 35 years ago or more gather in the Senior Alumni Council. There’s always time to find your way back to Lehigh, whether that’s later in your career, in your retirement years, or after your 50th Reunion.

Senior Alumni Council

About the Senior Alumni Council

Get back to the classroom every spring and fall at the aptly-named Back to the Classroom event, a single day packed with speakers in one of Lehigh’s historic classrooms. Remind yourself what it was like to cozy up in the library for a long study session or pack into a historic building for an inspiring lecture.

All alumni are invited to return to campus for the Back to the Classroom events, though they are designed to welcome back Lehigh’s retired alumni.

Get in the holiday spirit at Lehigh! The Senior Alumni Council’s annual Holiday Luncheon is a must do at the end of the year. Head to the Tower Room at Iacocca Hall to snack on soups, salads, and more, including Lehigh’s signature cut-out cookies. Don’t miss the performance from the student string quartet or the presentation of the Senior Alumni Service Award.

It’s not Lehigh without a wrestling meet! Reconnect with one of Lehigh’s most popular athletic programs at the Senior Alumni Council’s Pre-Meet Luncheon. Snack on sandwiches, salads, and more; then cheer on the wrestling team from the stands of their big meet.

You don’t have to be on campus to celebrate Lehigh’s retired alumni. Though the Senior Alumni Council sponsors many events on the Lehigh campus, you can celebrate alumni from anywhere around the world by being a Birthday Card Volunteer.

As a Birthday Card Volunteer, you’ll send handwritten birthday cards to alumni celebrating their 75th, 80th, 85th, and 90th+ birthdays in the month you’re assigned. We’ll provide the cards, envelopes, and stamps; you’ll provide the well wishes!

Contact Monica Timar at mat1@lehigh.edu to volunteer.
